1990 Buick Century Air Intake Control valve

My sons car, and it is hard to keep running in idle. Stalls, etc. Took out air intake control valve, what a chore that was and I lost or dropped both screws. Are they 4mm?
Is there anything I can do do remove the two steel lines that block the ease of getting a screwdriver or wrench in there to replace?
I have since bought a oil drip pan and placed that on the grond below the engine so if I drop the tiny screws, they won't get lost on the gravel.
Can I remove the air intake, I think that is what it is, in front or beside the aicv? Has four screws and what appears to be a very thick gasket.
I ask these only because I cannot find a detailed method to remove and replace, showing the engine parts in the picture. Thanks for your help.

You've probably finished your repairs by now however; this would have been my advice to you.

Those steel lines are most likely gas lines. Removing them can make installation easier however, it creates a new set of problems to deal with. You could remove the "throttle body" -- the thing with the thick gasket. Just make sure that an auto parts store near you has a new gasket that will fit you vehicle. If no one has a new gasket don't take the throttel body off (the old gakset only tears if you don't already have a replacement Murphy's Law ) Keep in mind that some throttle bodies have engine coolant lines attached to them; be careful when disconnecting these. They may be corroded and could easily break.
Also, use a magnetized screwdrier to remove/install the IAC (idle air control solenoid) screws. It could save you some frustration.
