1989 Buick Century Loose Steering Wheel Column

The steering wheel column keeps coming loose. My dad tightened it somehow about a year ago, but messed up a few components. Ie: brights won't work, have to pull turn signal lever forward then up/down to work. How can I get it tight and everything back in working order?

I'm assuming you have tilt column, Have your Dad take the column apart again. He doesn't have the High beam actuator in the proper position, also what he did was tighten the bolts for the tilt assemble, I always put red Locktite on these bolts so it doesn't loosen up again. Good Luck, Lou
