Ready for a service I tried to crack SP #1 but no bite just spinning was an immidiate worry. When I shine a light down the pipe I see that the hex nut has cracked causing it to expand and it just spins on the ceramic yet the ceramic is in good shape. Really need advice on best way to extract it with out any drastic measures

Not a lot you can do with this, best thing is to see if hex part will come up and then pull ceramic out it may take the whole piece including the part that is in the cylinder. Then once that piece is out try putting an easy out down where the ceramic piece was. Make sure piston is up to top though. You can do this by taking #4 plug out and bringing #4 up to tdc by hand. #2 &4 will both be up on top. Worse case scenario would be bottom pieceof ceramic falling into piston which onece plug is out take a shop vac to suck out old pieces. If head gets screwed up you'll have to put in a new heli-coil for spark plugs which would be steel.
