Engine Performance problem
2000 BMW Z3 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

having p0170 for quite some time changed oxygen sensor and fuel filter. Light still on. I had a go in the dtc and p0001 was noted

car is a z3 2000 8 valve 1.9

That version of software that runs the powertrain controls has been known to have issues completing monitors and with the inability to clear faults. Is this what you are experiencing? The solution may require a more comprehensive diagnosis.

Thanks in fact the p0001 was displayed even when scanner was not plugged to car. Found out later that was using scanner in wrong manner. I have only p0170 blank 1 as code. I erase and after 50miles the mil light goes on again. Changed sensor and fuel filter but promblem still ther thanks again

Check for intake manifold leaks.
