There was a problem in the car with camshaft timing so code was P0014 camshaft of exhaust over advanced.. We set the timing and the car was fine, but showed a code p0340 which says camshaft sensor, but I drive the car its was idle and no power worst then before brake was not working properly so I knew the there is a fault in camshaft timing I again. I opened the timing and saw that timing is out again, then again did the timing put the covers and oil and diagnosed it. It showed p0340 means camshaft sensor after that went for drive car was same like before no power and no gear shifting and idle and the diagnose the car p0011 code came means intake cam over advanced. I cannot under stand what to do please help!

How are you adjusting the timing? Are you sure there isn't just a sensor issue? Have you checked cam sensor tone ring to make sure nothing is damaged?

The two sensors which are exhaust camshaft sensor and intake camshaft sensor which are working we have checked but not sure about the sensor p0340 which is camshaft sensor on right side under oil filter. We see the timing when I make a ride and come back. The timing gets wrong on diagnostic machine?

Hey MOHAMMADD,

It sounds like the camshaft actuator or the actuator valve itself is bad, does the engine have enough oil in it and has is been changed recently because this is what help controls the system.

Here is how it works

let me know what you find.

Best, Ken
