OBD II code is P0128
P0128 Range/Performance Problem In Thermostat
P0128 ECT Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature

What is the next step?
Should I replace the thermostat?
Is there an ECT sensor?
NAPA is calling for a Thermostat at 104.00 or a thermostat and water assembly for 49.00

Is this something that a home garage mechanic can replace? I have replaced many thermostats before.

Thank You in Advance.

Look for the part at Realoem. Com, I would replace the T-stat. The answer is yes you can do it, it is not difficult, the fan will need to come out and it is a left hand thread on the water pump, you can do it, if you get stuck, I will be back around 5 pm pacific time today.

Don't think I'll be able to get to it that soon. Is this something that could be hazordous to the car or engine. Temp gage show all good.

I would rate this as non-critical and if you wait there should be no collateral damage, if it were mine, I'd do it when it was convenient.
