Engine problem
1999 BMW 328 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive 60,000 miles

hi, i'm replacing the engine on my 328 got the old unit out and when i checked the replacement engine the crank sensors are in 2 different places
old unit sensor at rear ,new unit sensor above crank pulley,i have the full wiring loom with new unit
i would like to know if this will fit the old ecu
I'v heard there might be some differences in the loom itself
