1997 BMW 328 brake light circuit check computer

Hi, I keep getting the brake circuit fail message, but the brake lights seem to work. However, occasionally they don't work at all. What else is there to check other than the bulbs which are new.

Simply replace the brake light switch and the problem will be solved.
