I AHVE A 2002 BMW 325I. WHEN I BEGIN DRIVING THE DOORS WILL AUTOMATIC LOOK. BUT WHEN I STOP AND SHUT OFF THE CAR THE DOOR LOCK STAY LOCKED. I WOULD LIKE THEM TO AUTOMATICALLY UNLOCK WHEN I SHUT OFF THE ENGINE. FOR NOW I HAVE TO PULL THE DOOR HANDLE ONCE TO UNLOCK AND THEN PULL AGAIN TO OPEN THE DOOR. SEEMS LIKE UNNECSESSARY WORK ON THE DOOR HANDLE. HOW DO I GET THE DOOR LOCKS TO AUTOMATIC UNLOCK WHEN I SHUT THE CAR OFF. THANKS

The self locking feature is programmed into the car/key memory. The programming can be reset with the proper software. This locking feature is not able to have the doors unlock, only lock after a certain road speed is achieved. The lock button in the center console will unlock the car if you wish. The programming requires proprietary software. Do you have a BMW shop that you frequent?
