1992 BMW 325 fuel filter

My car was running fine the day I changed the fuel filter, before I changed it that is. After I changed it I drove aroung and noticed a difference I acceleration. The car wasnt as fast to acclerate it was just lagging and it hasnt change since also the rpm fluactuates. Do I need to reset something?

Did you follow the fuel filter direction flow?
Also did you disconnect the battery-if so computer might have to undergo relearning-

Yes I did follow the directed flow, arrow pointing towards the engine and I did disconect the battery as well as the fuse to the fuel pump. I replaced the origonal one, I believe, to a new one.
