Besides spark plugs what other parts do I need to replace the coil packs, connectors and clips?

Cylinder one misfire. I'm sure plugs haven't been replaced. Twenty-three-year-old car only had 42,000 miles on it when I bought it last year.

Good morning,

Whenever we had one of these with a misfire, we replaced the plugs, boots, coils, and cap adapter. The cap adapter is the most common failure.

I attached the procedure for you.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

You guys' rock. Fast reply, you send easy to see the steps. One question though, where is the cap adapter located? I searched and searched those diagrams and didn't see it. I know my eyesight isn't great, but no luck. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the kind words.

When you remove the top cover, turn it over and it is there bolted to the inside of the cover. Four little screws and it comes off.

I did some checking and found that part. I haven't gotten it any repairs yet as it's been cold and snowing. Tomorrow looks promising though. Than's again.

So I've got the new plugs in but little improvement. Have the new coil pack and cap adapter. What's the secret to holding the coil packs in place when you put the adapter cover on?

Take off the top cover and work on it on a flat bench.

Look at the pictures and the procedure and follow them.
