Hey everyone,

Few days ago I bought my first car ( listed above, petrol). This car seemed to be fine the first day I bought it. However, the problem started to happen after the first night when in the morning I got the car started and this started to happen; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l712EvvYGYg

This problem occurs only after the car has not been driven for couple of hours, prior to that the car starts and runs smoothly without this problem occurring.

Another thing I have noticed is that if you leave the car running like it is when the battery light is flicking on, eventually the car engine will turn off. This continues to happen even if i try to drive, however after some time the problem just suddenly disappears.

The only way to make the car run properly is to leave the ignition for couple of minutes and then try to start the car.

Hello INVOKERED

Welcome to 2CarPros. Com. How are you doing? This battery notification flickering is a sign of a failing alternator. For now it is intermittent but eventually the alternator will fail. This will not charge the battery and can cause engine stalling if the power is depleted. It can be needing an ECU reset as well, try removing the negative battery connector and let it sit for five minutes or more before reconnecting it. This will reset the system and may get rid of the battery light alert. Hope this helps and thank you for choosing 2CarPros. Com. Please let me know if there is anything else I can add or help you with. I will be standing by for your response.

Thank you,

Relly
