Backfiring out of throttle body injector

Truck hasn't started in over a day. Finally started sounded like it was going to die. Hit the gas and it backfired out of the tbi, flames and all. Recently replaced distributor cap and ran fine for a few days after that once it got going. Hard to start but no rough idle or anything. Before it decided to try to run today we were getting no fuel from the tbi. Help.

If you weren't getting fuel from the TBI, start by making sure the fuel pump is doing its job and is producing pressure within the manufacturer's specs. Also. Make sure the regulator is working. If you need directions, visit our homepage under the DIY section.
