Hi,

If I understand, the replacement axle is 1 centimeter shorter. Is that correct? If that is correct, that means the splines that go into the differential are a centimeter shorter. That would likely cause a slight change in strength.

Is the axle the same diameter? Is everything else the same? Did everything bolt together properly and securely?

Let me know.

Joe

Hi,

I don't have the OEM part number. Sorry about that. However, if it is only 0.5 cm different, it should be fine. If you drove it and all seems okay, it should be. Just pay attention to see if you notice any odd sounds.

Let me know.

Hi,

Looking at the picture, which does need attention, but it's hard to tell for sure looking at it from one angle. If it is as rough as it appears, I would have it repaired before putting things back together.
