2001 Audi A6 Ball Joint repair cost

2001 Audi A6 104000 miles

Been hearing strange noises when I turn so I took the car in to have it looked at. They are saying it needs new upper balljoints on both sides.

Parts list includes RO Tie Rod End and Upper Balljoints.

How much should this cost? The amount they are going to charge seems very high. Especially since the parts online seem relatively inexpensive.

For both upper ball joint's it's 3.2hrs time's shop labor rate 80-100 per hr?Your outer tie rod is another 1.3hrs time's 80-100 per hr?The labor is going to depend on how the shop you take it to charges per hr. So 4.5 hrs labor plus alignment maybe 100 for alignment maybe less again depends on where you take. The parts you have already been shopping around for your best bet is to get your own part's and just have them installed save some money that way.
