2000 Audi A4 P0301 and P0411

Hi

The check engine light had been flashing on my A4 2000 Audi and engine check code that came out was P0301 and P0411.

Please let me know the cause of the problem, solution and probable estimate on how much the repair should cost me.

Hi Jasmine,

P0301 = Cylinder 1 misfre. It could be a fault with the spark plug and/or related parts.

DTC P0411 /16795: SECONDARY AIR INJECTION SYSTEM FAILURE
Inspect secondary air injection system integrity. Check left and right combination valves for
proper operation. Check secondary air injection pump motor and secondary air injection solenoid
valve. Repair or replace system components as necessary. Erase DTC memory.

I would suggest checking the P0411 first. It could cause the P0301.

Sorry, I am not able to provide any costing as it would depend on what is wrong and requires repair/replacement.
