When I'm driving (in motion)my heat works. When I slow down to a stop the heat stops. The thermostat has been changed already.

Hi stevedag,
Did you check the coolant level? Does reving the engine slightly when vehicle is stopped make any difference?

Hi stevedag,
There is a possibility of clogging in the water passage of the heater core.
Is there any sign of overheating?

No over heating at all. Tge car has been running great other than the heat.I did check the input and out put hoses thru the fire wall, one is hot the other is not. Is there a way of unclogging the core? Steve

Check open/close valve for proper operations. If the clogging is minor, remove the hoses and apply some pressure to get it unclogged. If it is in the heater core, you might need to replace it.
