Small gauges stop working

Speedometer and tachometer lights work but the small gauges go out after a short bit. Just wondering if you have come across this before I have to pull out the cluster?

Yep, it sounds like the cluster has gone bad. here is a video of the job being done in a similar vehicle and diagrams below to show you how on your car:
