My brand new alternator went out a month ago. It was replaced and now I am experiencing the same symptoms from before lights shutting off while I am driving. Could it be a computer component and is it replaceable?

It can be a relay or fuse in under hood fuse box or a bad ground on right hand rear of cylinder head or a body module problem which will require scanning by a mechanic to see if it is.

Will a diagnostic computer find the problem? My dad is my mechanic he has one of those? Will I need to put it in a shop?

If he has a professional model he can find the body module, if not it wont pick it up and one from an auto parts wont work.
