I have a1994 Chevy Camaro 3.4 liter. Here is my problem and I am getting frustrated with it. I start the car and it idles a bit high 1200 rpm with a very slight miss. When put into gear idles at 1000 rpm when the car warms up to closed loop temp it will idle at about 1300 then when put into park or neutral it shoots up to 1800+ rpms. Oh and the check engine light comes on when it is at a stop after a few minutes due to the high idle. I put a jumper in and get no code flashes at all.

I have replaced the Map sensor, Coolant Temp sensor, PCV valve, IAC valve, TPS, Plugs wires and cleaned all components. Checked for vacuum leaks and found none.

The car also when it warms up will cruise at like 25+ MPH with out giving it gas. I have a new ignition control module due to get here Monday and 3 new coils. What am I missing to get this idle under control.

Hey long time no see, it sounds like you have a vacuume leak, or a IAC mtor that is sticking. Check it out and get back too me.

I have not been online much due to being in college and working long shifts at work.I miss coming on here and helping people out.

I have a new IAC in it and I ran it through the teach mode. Also new TPS, PCV, PLUGS WIRES, CTS.

I shot carb cleaner on all the vac fittings and no change in engine idle. Since my check engine light comes on when at a stop for a few minutes could it be a O2 SENSOR? I cant get a code out of even when its jumped. I noticed idle goes higher when its hot and put in park so it might be the o2 sensor.I noticed its consuming more gas as well. Lost about 4 miles to the gallon.

I think it is more than likely an intake manifold leak or an injector O ring leak.

I will go with the intake manifold leak. Check the manifold bolts, if loose, you might have a gasket problem.

Not sure if the IAC has coolant hoses passing through it. If yes, you might have clogged hoses.
