DTC P1509 Idle Speed High - Idle Air Control (IAC) System Not Responding

The first thing to look for is the ECTS. They will fail and cause a high idle also. The plastic tip cracks. Replace it with an updated brass tipped sensor from saturn.

Check the IAC wiring. Make sure the connection is clean and tight. Sometimes they will get carboned up and can be cleaned along with the throttle body.

Good luck and let us know. :)
