98 Cav. Coolant System & Power Steering Fluid

1) I have been informed that I need to get my cooling system flushed, because the antifreeze has gone bad. I have gotten quotes from 3 different mechanics on this. My question is. After having the flush done, should I have the mechanic use Dex-Cool or a different anti-freeze? I have done some research, and I realize that Dex-Cool is a terrible antifreeze, but GM still reccomends that you use it. I am only going to have the vehicle for another year so I just want to be sure it will last that long without something major happening.

2) Also. 2 different mechanics (visited about 2 months apart) have told me that my power steering fluid is overfilled. I have not put any extra fluid into the resivoir lately so I am wondering why this would occur?

i would stay withe the dex cool, gm reccomends it for a reason, its made to work with the material the block and heads are made of,
the power steering fluid may have been overfilled at any time since it is a closed system it will not go anywhere unless it leaks, if you get the infamous pitstop oil changes those guys love to overfill things because they dont know any better, anywho keep the dex and if you are really worried about the p/s fluid pull some out with an old turkey baster
