Hello my scion TC is making a noise when I accelerate and it is getting louder. It seems like it is also hurting my performance. My dealership a (VW) dealership said they dont have the tools to check it out but think it could be the lifters. What do you think? The sound is deff coming from the engine. Please help! They said I might need a new head too and said it could be 2000 dollars! :(

Hi lgstopper2,

Not too sure about this vehicle engine, but if it is hydraulic lifters, you need to get them serviced or replaced.

So i took my scion to the dealership and they said who ever did my last oil change bent something when putting in the oil and it rumming against the cam making the clicking sound. Funny how a simple oil change can result to about 500 dollars in repairs.... :/

Hi lgstopper2,

While filling the oil if something had dropped in, it can cause a lot of problem.

Hard luck.

Well I got pretty upset and called the place who did the oil change and they are fixing everything for free and paying back the 96 dollars I had to pay to get it checked out. So its all good
