2005 Questions for all other cars

hi i have a mg zt 18-t i have had a new headgaskit 2 months ago and i still leakes water and now the check engine lights comes on and it jumps when you accelarate and there is a strong smell of burning and a fishey smell can you help ?

Hi markblade,

You need a scan to fidn out what is causing the CEL to show.

Can the leaks be seen visually?

What does the burning smells like? Gas, oil, coolant (sweet)?

thanks for getting in touch the leak is just under the left front wheel and the smell is like a burning oily smell checked the oil no leaks the check engine lights is not always on and it loses power when you put your foot down

Hi markblade,

During repair, some oil etc might have gotten onto the exhaust manifold or system and it requires some time for it to burn off.

Get a scan done even if the CEL does not show, the error should be recorded in the ECM.
