Have an automatic 2005 CRV with 30000 KMs. Getting a whining noise from rear especially when drive at 80KM/H. Took to dealer and they replaced right rear wheel bearing, they said they tested and whining noise gone. Just took vehicle the vehicle on highway and the noise is still there. Sounds the worst at 80KM/H and up.

Any ideas? Could it be the rear end/differential?

it probably is the rear diff (older models had a rear diff problem) . take it back to have them take a look at it again. they didn't solve the problem so it should be treated as a "comeback" and you shouldn't get charged for any additional repair.
