I am having a problem with my overdrive. The light flashes on and off when the truck warms up. Can anyone tell me wat the problem is and the approximate cost to repair?

Thank you, :P [/b]

The computer has detected a fault in the tranny. The tranny can go into a "limp home" mode. You do not want to drive any long distances like that. Might simply try disconnecting the negative battery terminal for several minutes and then seeing if the code returns first. 95 ford explorers were well known for that.

After that have the codes read if necessary and post back. :)

Thanks for the info. I will try that tomorrow. Any idea of the cost involved with this repair?

Thanks again!

None if the light does not come back. Codes will help narrow down the problem. Could even be the computer so it it hard to estimate cost. Also depends on your part of the world. :)

So far so good.I will have a system check to make sure that there are not any major problems.
