I started hearing a roaring noise from what seemed to be coming from the driver side wheel. When I turn the car to the passenger side, the noise is quieter and when im going straight or turn toward the driver side it is still a dull roar. My brother said it was a wheel bearing so I bought a hub assembly 177.00 and he installed it and I still have the same name noise.
what else could be causing a roaring? Its definately not a click like a cv its a def roar.

Look into the right side wheel bearing. Jack the vehicle up so the front wheel are hanging, apply the emergency brake and put the vehicle in neutral. Place your hand on the strut spring and spin the tire. If you feel a vibration through the spring then that is the side that is bad. Sometimes when a bearing goes bad you'll get what is called sound transference. You'll hear the sound from one side but the problem is on the other. Check the right side. Hope this helps.
