I have a 2001 F150 V8 with 65,000 miles and have been noticing a problem in low gear with the truck hesitating. This is especially noticed more on inclines.
I can go serveral day and not have the problem and then it will happen again. I have not had any engine lights and I can excellerate out of the hesistation.
Where do I start looking for a problem?

Change your fuel filter and your air filter it can cause a hesitation. Also if the mass air flow sensor is dirty it can cause the same problem.
Also check the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator. If it has a pin hole, it will do the same thing.
