I have a 2000 Galant that has engine over heat when traveling in slow traffic or stopped. The fluids are up to snuff and the temp returns to normal as soon as freeway travel is resumed. This condition shows both on engine temp gauge and with cab heat output. No lights or warnings

i have a Galant 2000, 89k, with the same problem: overheating when slowing down or stopping and no problem when traveling with the engine with over 2500 - 3000 rpm. Until now I replaced the radiator, the thermostat (second one), the fans were checked (and work properly) and the problem still persists.
