1987 Questions for all other cars

I have a 1997 mitsubichi mirage DE engine size 1.5 and I need to know how can I take the front axle off. This is the passenger side. The axle has a ring lock inside by thr transmission, and I don't know how to release this lock. My first time on line. If you need more info. Please ask. Thankyou.

Hi there,

This is a wire clip that stops the axle floating out, just get a lever that will fit between the inner CV and housing and gently lever out, it will come with out much trouble. Be aware you will loose some oil so have a container to collect any spillage.
