Alarm will go off every 10 minutes even when unlocked. Have to disconnect negative battery terminal.

Hi,

There is an alarm module that may be at fault. Because of the model year being newer, you should start by having the can-bus scanned for codes. CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, all the computers and modules are tied together via a few wires.

By performing this type of scan, it will retrieve codes from any of the modules and not just the powertrain control module. Here is a video showing how it is done:

Let me know if that is something you can have done. Hopefully, it will point us in the right direction.

Take care,

Joe

Scan was done and no error codes found. Car typically goes off at night. Just replaced battery today.

Let me know if the battery takes care of the problem. Low voltage issues can cause all kinds of problems on newer vehicles.

Also, when you had it scanned, was the entire CAN scanned?
