Airbag light on

Replaced clock spring after dealer tried to hit me up with a hefty bill to replace. Airbag light was on. Also heard what sounded like something fell off in steering wheel rumbling around. Steering wheel volume was quirky at times.

Replaced clock spring successfully. Disconnected battery during.

Airbag light still on. It went off briefly then back on. Do I need to reset with code tool or is this possibly just cycling through 50 miles plus.

I am not a fan of the local dealer as they are a bit sketch.

If you take a look at the repair process it does not mention anything about reprogramming but it does say on the last step that after the repair the SRS light should go on for 6 seconds and then go off. This is the self test and if it passes it goes off. If it fails or has a code then it stays on.

Do you know what the code is for the airbag system? I suspect you still have an issue.
