Hi,
That's the fault i got according diagnostic {Crash sensor, side airbag, passenger side G180}.

I managed to take the sensor out and it seems i have a serious moisture issue, not sure from where it came as the carpet is completely dry from the top side. Anyway VW dealer is asking for 165 quid which I think its a rip off. I tried from e bay, but someone said to me even if you buy it it might not fit your car due to software differences. I feel lost and don't know how to tackle this issue. Can you advice please?

Cheers

Hi Morry,

I am wondering if the sensor was wet from the car leaking through the weather stripping. IS the sensor near the floor of the car? If so try to clean the electrical connector for from corrosion and recheck the system, please get back to me.

Thanks for your reply. It was wet as everything but no rust. I managed to find the source of the water leak, it came from under the battery. I still have the problem. I am looking for a sensor to see if that will solve the problem

I'm think it will, those sensors do not like water at all.
