2002 Acura MDX slow to shift when cold

The transmission is slow (revs higher than normal) to shift when the vehicle is cold. As I drive everything seems to function properly. The local dealership is suggesting that changing the shift solenoids 'might' solve this problem. Given the age and mileage, please recommend a strategy.
FYI...Acura replaced the transmission at 120,000kms.

Hi AMRS,

If a rebuilt or new transmission was replaced at 120 k miles, it should not be going out that soon. As to the solenoids, it is possible they might be the cause but before doing that, I would suggest getting the fluids replaced to see if it helps.
