I have a noise coming from a belt and the engine. Noticeably the engine sound is very loud airy airplane like sound when accelerate or while in park and push gas pedal. Lasts while idling for about 5 minutes. When push pedal again, sound is very loud again. The belt next to the engine visible as the first belt you see on the top makes a whirring noise.

No engine warning lights yet.

Thanks

Hi Lorib01,

Thank you for the donation.

Noise problem are never easy to diagnose without the physical vehicle.

Symptom description seems to indicate one of the bearings is faulty. It could be the alternator, tensioner or AC compressor.

At initial start up, the engine is running at a higher rpm and when the idling speed drops, so does the noise. When you rev the engine, the noise is noticeable as the bearing is subjected to heavier loads and turning speed.

Get a rubber hose to use as sthetoscope and try to locate the source of the noise.
