87 Acura ledgend brake lights stuck on

We inherited this great little utility car. We have kept up with regular maintainence. Now at 98,000 mi. The brake lights have come on and will not go off even with the engine shut off. Have pulled the brake light switch and hope this will prove the culprit, will let you know. Any advice?

Brake light switch definetly. Replace it and you should be good.

Actually, when I had that problem on my 93 integra, it wasnt the brakelight switch itself, but a bushing on the brake pedal. I just put a bolt and nut through the hole where the bushing was, and itll never wear out again.
