I have a 1998 Acura Integra that has never given any problems. A couple of months ago I had the timing belt replaced by the Acura dealer as it was recommended in many forums. After the replacement, the car has started to use excessive amounts of oil. About a quart every 2000 miles. The dealer says that the replacement of the timing belt would not change anything about the oil consumption. Is this a coincidence and what should I do about it? It doesn't appear to be leaking as there are no oil stains on the garage floor.

Make sure the pcv system isn't plugged. It must be burning it, fi there is no external leakage.

Any signs of oil in the air filter box?
