1995 Acura Integra Motor won't redline

1995 Acura Integra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

I havnt started my car in 1 month and now that I start it it will not reach redline it will him 3500 RPMs and the redline is 7000 RPMs. I cannt find no fuel or vacume leaks. All conncetions are on and the battery keeps dieing for some reason also. I just cannt figure it out.

Hi tclopez325,

A bad Throttle Position Sensor or low alternator charging rate would cause what you described as the ECM/PCM is not getting the correct voltage reading to act accordingly.

I would suggest testing the charging rate frst.

Your ECU might be in limp mode.

Any on-board lights on your dash illuminated? MIL/CEL?

If not, to reset your ECU on your car just simply disconnect the negative terminal for a minute or so and pull the ECU fuse. It may be labeled "ECM F/I".
