Most of the time, ignition key won't come out, unless I keep stepping on the brake pedal until I hear a sound of click that unlock the shift then the key comes out. So how/where to I check for failure? I checked the brake light switch by the brake pedal, it seems working fine, any suggestion where I should look?

Hi Kay1,

Check the gear shift. Ensure the P indicator light is showing correctly when ignition is turned ON. If the indicator light is not showing, the key interlock is preventing the key from bing turned to the lock position to enable the key to be removed.
