Hello, good morning and hope all is well. Okay here is the deal, my compressor clutch comes on (with A/C on) but only turns a few times and stops and my air is not cold. Yesterday morning I put a can of subzero Freon and my gauge reads where it is suppose to be. When the clutch engages it rattles the car, make noise then stops quick and every time the clutch engages it cause my rpm to go up and down. Up to around 1500 and comes back down. My fuse and relay are good so I am trying to process of elimination. Any ideas?

I would start by having the a/C refrigerant evacuated from the system, get it vacuumed down and re charge with the exact amount of refrigerant, this is critical. It sounds as if the system is over charged.

Hello my friend! Sorry I didn't get back to you right away but yes that was the problem.I took my A.C gauge & brought it down to 75degrees(outside temp)& it's cold again, my RPM don't fluctuate no more & my compressor clutch stays turning for a long time before stopping & going again. Not like before rotating a few times & stopping. No more of those symptoms from it being over charged.I'm a happy camper & thanks again.
