4X4 light is on?

Was working, required me to leave it in 4x4 high, (was in the winter so) went to shut it off (back to 2x4) and it did, but the indicator light is on for 4x4. No clicking anymore when I activate the switch. Did have a new Transfer case motor, replaced, checked all the fuses, they were all good. Thinking it might need a new control module. Thoughts?

Yep, that can be true, but we should run a CAN scan which will bring up codes that can help us be sure. Please go over this video to find out how:

I have seen the switch cause this issue as well. Here is how to swap it out in case a code is stored for it. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

I have a scanner; it had a low voltage error. Not sure why, new battery and cable ends. Recently replaced the transfer cast motor (had one from another sold vehicle) wiring looked good and clean. New audio system, checked the wiring while I was there. Looked clean.

Okay, since it did not have a code I would replace the switch. Let me know what happens, that should fix it.
