I was driving my girl to work and noticed a faint mist coming from the a/c first thought was the freeion low so I cut the a/c off. Later on that night while driving home I heard a low tickin sound then noticed smoke comings from the exhaust pipe then from under the hood I quickly turned off the car and pushed it to the side of the road, when I raised the hood I noticed the small hose under the radiator cap was melted off and when opening the radiator cap I noticed the radiator was empty. I got the car towed home and put antifreeze in the radiator which turned the check engine light off but the battery light is blinking so the car wont start can you please let me know the problem?

What color was the smoke from the exhaust? Does the engine at least crank?

Is the battery good? Have you tried to check if you can turn the engine by hand?

I don't know how to do that but I had someone look at it and they said when stuff like that happens normally it messes with the altanator which causes the battery to drain quick and I mite need to get a jump.

Not too sure about that, but I do feel we need to start with the battery. If you can, remove it, recharge it, and then take it to a parts store and have them load test it to make sure it is good. They should do it for free. Once we know that is good, we can move on to other things if necessary.

Do that and let me know what you find.

If you have coolant coming from the exhaust, either you have a bad head gasket or a warped or cracked head. That isn't good news.

After thought:

How many miles are on this vehicle? Is it still somewhat new. Is it still under the powertrain warranty?

Unless you purchased an extended warranty, there is no warranty at that mileage. The factory one has expired.
