While replacing my speed control sensor I had some fluid flow out. I think it was my engine oil, but I'm not sure. I need some help ASAP. My car just sitting there, scared my motor might lock up.

Where are you working?

Speed sensor is on the trans.

Can you post a picture?

Why are you replacing it?

I replace it in my drive way. I can post a pic in an hour. Check ignition light came on, so I drive the car to Oh Reilly. After they connect it to the machine and printed out the problem I was told it was a bad sensor. The only reason that I'm so confuse is because the fluid wasnt muddy color at all.

What code was it? What was the name of the sensor? Was it the trans speed sensor? Did the speedometer stop working?

A code never identifies a bad part, just a failed system.
