key won't turn remote start turns on lights and unlocks and locks car. but doesn't start car. Problem has been intermittent.

It sounds like the ignition key and tumbler are worn out here is a how you can replace the unit. Get the replacement from the dealer give them your VIN so they can program it for you before you install it. Check out the diagrams (Below).
