I have 2 issues - How do I diagnose if it is switch, motor or regulator? The Driver's side front power window quit working with no warning in the down position. (Convertible Bug). How do I diagnose whether it is switch, motor, or regulator before I starting the repair?

Also, the A/C in this car is randomly cycling on and off. It is very cold when on, but then just quits cooling (Fan is blowing fine). Is this a switch?

Have the Cycle Switch checked on the ac. As far as the window, you need to check to see if there is power in and out of the switch and if that power is making it to the window motor. If there is power to the motor, chances are the motor is bad. If there isn't then check the switch to see if there is power supplied in both up and down positions.
