Heater blower control switch on console does not work sometimes when turned on or switched to different settings. It has settings from 0 to 5. 5 being the strongest.

I assume it needs to be changed. I have no idea how to access it and can not seem to find the information on the internet and cannot find a Haynes or Chilton diy repair manual.

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you

Does it work on the high setting and none of the others? Are you referring to the blower motor resister?

It randomly will stop working on the lower settings. The setting # 3 & 4 seem to be the most problematic. If it is the resister, 1 is it easily replaced and 2, what would be the ball park cost of purchasing the part?

The resister is my first guess. It is under the dash mounted on the heater box (where the fan is mounted).

Let me know what you find. I hope I'm right. Not being there makes things a bit more of a challenge.
