Will The accessories come on if the computer is bad?

If you can jump the starter and make the car start is the computer bad? I came out the store and the vehicle would not start. I had the starter checked ok. New battery. Accessories come on. The only way for someone to start the vehicle is to get under and jump it from the starter. It starts but then shuts off after 1 or 2 seconds.

That sounds like the security system is shutting the vehicle down. Is the security light on?

I don't believe so. I can lock and unlock the vehicle with my remote.

Just to add to this one even if you can lock and lock it with the remotes doesnt mean your pass lock sensor isnt keeping it from starting. Real important when it doesnt start look at your instrument cluster is the security light on solid or flashing?Those ions every year built has issues with the ignition switch causing no starts because they contain the pass lock sensor. The no starts are more common when outside temp is bellow 40 degrees.
