2007 Mercury Marquis car wont start

I have a 2007 marquis it gt cold here where I live abd I went out to start it it wouldn't start we changed da battery out abd it stikl won't start. It only makes a ticking noise we dnt knw wat it could be

Have the battery checked that you put in or is it a new one? It should be load tested and for condition.. It could be a bad relay or starter also when you replace the battery you have to reset your security system should be in your manual if you have it or call a dealer
