I had the IAC replaced Nov 2010, hasn't died until today. dealership said it needs a new altenator. Can this be related to the IAC or it's installation?

ALT is a generator thjat make power for car to operate
Starter is an electric motor run by BATT to start engine
Ignition xis electrical syatem that provides voltage to spark plugs to ingnite air fuel mix

The alternator reconditions the battery charge, the starter motor cranks the engine over and the ignition switch powers the ignition system for it to fire up-

The IACV function is to target the idle speed at all times if not the idle will be unstable-high or low/erratic

If the alternator is not doing its job the IACV will not be properly powered and will react w/o the correct voltages
