I replaced the crank shaft position sensor due to a check engine code I received from AutoZone. Originally the car was idling and seaming like it was gonna cut off while sitting at a red light. It would drive perfectly as long as the car was moving. I used the car twice since the part had been changed. It was no longer jumping at lights but the check engine light was still on steady and then eventually flashing after driving it about 60 miles since part replacement. I tried to get in it and take off this morning and it hesitated to start. I had to hold the key until it finally started. When I put the car in gear and pressed on the gas pedal the car would hardly move even if my foot was to the floor on the accelerator. This was the same in reverse or drive. I can't move it out of the parking space without it stalling. This is a automatic vehicle and it has a half tank of gas in it. Please help.

Hi:
Is the check engine light still flashing when this happens? When it flashes, that indicates a misfire. Have you had the computer rescanned to see if there are new codes? If not, that is where I would start. Also, recheck the sensor to make sure the wiring is still properly attached and nothing was damaged.

Here are a couple links you may find of interest.

Let me know about condition of the wiring to it and if you have had it scanned again to find new codes.

Take care,
Joe
